Desmond V. Tobias graduated from the University of Alabama in 1984 then received his juris doctorate from Cumberland School of Law in 1987 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1987 and the Alabama State Bar in 1989.

Desi began his law career with the Florida Attorney General in Tallahassee and then, in 1989, began practicing in his hometown of Mobile, AL with an insurance defense firm. Since 1995 his practice has focused exclusively on representation of injured victims.

Desmond Tobias is a graduate of McGill-Toolen High School (1979) and attended Washington and Lee University prior to the University of Alabama.  Desi is married to the former Cecelia Mills of Mobile. They reside in Mobile with their four children, Desi, III, Michael, and infant twins, Jack and Macy.

Desmond Tobias is a frequent lecturer at CLE seminars and he has written on numerous litigation related topics.
